Music I Am Embarrassed To Admit Listening To

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

Anyone who loves music holds deep dark musical secrets in the recesses of their heart. We music lovers have that cheesy band who we love but don’t want anyone to know. Maybe we went through a bad phase where bad music was the norm. Maybe we don’t listen to the songs anymore but miss them a little bit. Here is my list of music I’m embarrassed to admit I listened to. Please share your own in comments or a new article.

Lizzy Borden: It doesn’t get any cheesier than Lizzy Borden
Lizzy Borden Terror Rising was a tape that I played over and over well into my 20s.
Give Em The Axe (How appropriate)
Lizzy Borden with Betsy - Don’t Touch Me There

Dangerous Toys:Smack dab in the middle of hair band mania was little known Dangerous Toys. Slightly more talented than the rest (which isn’t saying much) they created guitar hooks I still love when I heard it today.

Queen Of The Nile

The Shocker soundtrack: If you like 80’s B grade horror movies you probably saw Shocker. The story of a criminal who morphed from a person to an electronic stream that can move through your television. This soundtrack is almost as bad as the movie.

Timeless Love - Saraya I kind of like this song
ShockerThis guy liked the theme song so much he learned how to play it
Bonfire: Sword and Stone

Kid Rock:Wow I’m embarrassed even if Kid Rock comes on the radio. I mean who listens to this stuff?

Bawitaba

Bang Tango My poor parents used to have to listen to me blasting my radio and singing this stuff. I better remember to call them and tell them how much I love them for not smashing my “boom box” to bits.

Breaking Up A Heart Of Stone

Melissa Ethridge I may be the only straight male that has ever owned several Melissa Ethridge albums. To be honest I still love her first album which is one of my all time favorites.

Bring Me Some Water

Well, I guess I have humiliated myself enough for now. Add your own guilty favorites in a new article or in the comments.
